Here’s another blog by a Mississauga Chiropactor…
This past weekend was Word on the Street, which took place at Queen’s Park in the University of Toronto. Word on the Street is a huge outdoor book fair with white tents setup along the streets of Queen’s Park Crescent
TVOkids had a big stage setup inside Queen’s Park where performers and puppets were singing and promoting the act of reading. I took Mason there and had him sitting on my shoulders as he clapped and danced to the music. When we met up with Tristan and Maria they had a few bags of books. Tristan picked up a few children’s books from Mable’s Fables, while Maria was gloating about the great book deals she got. She got a couple of $50 book sets for $3 and a $150 J. R. R. Tolkein (not Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit) book for $10.
After Word on the Street, we took the boys to Maria & my old University Hangout, Papa Ceo. This was a mom & pop pizza parlour which featured huge slices of pizza’s named after movie starts. There was the Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren or the Rambo.
Tristan & I just opted for the traditional pepperoni slice, while Maria got a Mediterranean slice (feta & spinach).
Overall, Word on the Street was alright… Not sure if I want to do it again, but I’m sure Maria will take us anyway. Just another day in the life of a Mississauga Chiropractor
