Here’s another Blog by a Mississauga Chiropractor….

This past Wednesday, I was back at the track once again.  This was going to be one of the last outdoor track sessions before we would all head back indoors at the YMCA.  This particular workout was going to be cold and rainy, so I wasn’t sure how many Nomads were going to come out.


When I pulled into the parking lot I was happy to see Brian Baird waiting in his car.  He wasn’t sure if I was going to show either.  I told him that we were the true, “hardcore runners”.  We headed out for a 4.5k warm up around the neighbourhood.  The rain was falling pretty hard, but I felt comfortable out there under the protection of my running hat.  After our warm up we decided to do a light 6X400m speed session at 90 seconds per lap.  We were pretty consistent, averaging about 88-89 seconds per lap.

By the time we were done, it was approaching5:15pmand it was already pretty dark.  We headed out for our cool down, this time doing the warm up course backwards.  I don’t know if it was because of the rain or the darkness, but we some how made a wrong turn during our run and ended up hittingDundas streetwhich was way too north.  We finally did make it back to the track, but our total distance was a whopping 15.5k, a bit longer than I was planning to run.  Overall it was a great workout with my buddy Brian…


Next race is the Casablanca 8K this weekend in memory of the late Jerry Friesen.  Happy Running!
