Here’s another blog from a Mississauga Chiropractor
Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon) has lost his wife, Katherine (Stephanie Szostak). In a bid to start his life over, he purchases a large house that has a zoo. This is welcome news for his daughter, Rosie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones), but his son Dylan (Colin Ford) is not happy about it. The zoo is need of renovation and Benjamin Mee sets about the work with the head zookeeper, Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson), and the rest of the zoo staff: Peter MacCready (Angus Macfadyen), Lily Miska (Elle Fanning) & Robin Jones (Patrick Fugit). But, the zoo soon runs into financial trouble. The staff must get the zoo back to its former glory, pass a zoo inspection by the despised Walter Ferris (John Michael Higgins), and get it back open to the public.
I really enjoyed this movie. Matt Damon plays a different role as a struggling dad who must now dive into a new role as single parent. We see his struggles raising his teenage son and the battle he has letting go of his deceased wife. I wasn’t sure if I was going to find a movie about a zoo interesting. But I found myself rooting for the zoo`s success as opening day grew nearer.
Overall, I would give this movie 7/10 stars. Check it out! Happy Viewing
