In this Hangover sequel, Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married. Along with Doug (Justin Bartha), Phil (Bradley Cooper), and his soon-to-be brother-in-law Teddy (Mason Lee), he regretfully invites Alan (Zach Galifianakis) toThailand for the wedding. After a quiet night on the beach with a beer and toasting marshmallows by the camp fire, Stu, Alan and Phil wake up in a seedy apartment in Bangkok. Doug is back at the resort, but Teddy is missing, there’s a monkey with a severed finger, Alan’s head is shaved, Stu has a tattoo on his face, and they can’t remember any of it. The wolf-pack retrace their steps through strip clubs, tattoo parlors and cocaine-dealing monkeys on the streets of Bangkokas they try and find Teddy before the wedding.
This movie had a lot of laughs many of them in the inappropriate category. It was the exact same formula as the first Hangover movie, just swap Vegas for Bangkok. Ken Jeongreturned once again as the hilarious Mr. Chow. Even Mike Tysonmade a cameo at the end of the movie, yet I’m not sure who is a worse singer Tyson or Manny Pacquiao. Just like the first Hangover, the closing credit was very entertaining, where it consisted of a montage of photographs retracing the drunken night’s events. Where we see what actually went on that night and even find out about the missing finger. Spoiler alert though, if you are offended by frontal transsexual nudity, maybe this isn’t the movie for you.
I’d give this film 7/10 stars. Definitely check it out. Happy Viewing!
