Here’s another Blog by a Mississauga Chiropractor…

I just watched The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009), starring Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Ving Rhames(Mission Impossible), Ken Jeong (The Hangover) and David Koechner (Anchorman)… Will Ferrell & Alan Thicke also makes a cameo appearance.

In a desperate attempt to save his rapidly failing used car dealership, Ben Selleck (James Brolin) hires a crack team of “car mercenaries” to ramp up sales during the Fourth of July weekend. Led by the fast-talking, foul-mouthed, self-assured Don “The Goods” Ready (Jeremy Piven), the group has three days to sell over 200 cars. But as Don undertakes his newest mission, and quickly falls for the boss’s daughter Ivy (Jordana Spiro), he realizes he’ll have to trust more than his cars and his crafty skills in deceit to make a success out of the daunting weekend.
This movie was a bit too raunchy for my taste, but there are some good laughs.  I found myself rooting for Don Goods at the end, and it was fun seeing all the “Car Salesmen Tactics”.
Overall, not bad.  I’ll give this flick a 5/10.  Check it out, it’s definitely a renter. Happy viewing!
