Here’s another blog by a Mississauga Chiropractor…
This past Sunday marked 6 more weeks until my Chicago Marathon. This meant that my long run needed to be a good one. Last week’s run was a modest 33K. The goal for this long run was 35K. I met my Nomads Running Club at Rivergrove Community Centre in Streetsville at our customary meeting spot at 7:30am.
A few of the Nomads were not going too long since they had raced the Crim 10 Miler the day before in Michigan. I found Sean and Dale who said that they would run the 35K with me, and we agreed to keep a modest pace.
Overall, I felt much better this week compared to last week. I didn’t have any urges to walk, I just felt soreness in my quads as we reached the 30K mark. The last 5km were pretty comfortable, as I was able to pick up the pace a bit. Looking ahead this week, I have my tempo run on Tues and speed work at the track on Wed. Happy Running!
