Here`s another blog from a Chiropractor in Mississauga…
In this movie, Kirk (Jay Baruchel) is a nice guy, who finishes last. He’s an airport security guard in Pittsburgh, his ex-girlfriend Marnie (Lindsay Sloane) hangs out at his parents’ house with her new guy, he’s out of shape and uncoordinated, and his car’s a junker. At the airport, he finds the phone of a stunning, successful blonde, Molly (Alice Eve), and when he returns it, she offers dinner as thanks. She enjoys his company – he’s unassuming and safe – and he’s dazzled. His three friends: Stainer (T.J. Miller), Jack (Mike Vogel) & Devon (Nate Torrence) warn him that she’s out of his league and offer bad advice; he knows it will end soon and stumbles through a series of embarrassing moments. His ex has gotten jealous and invites him back: should he return to where he belongs? All roads lead to the airport.
This movie was quite entertaining in a Knocked Up/Meet the Parents kind of way. The interactions between Kirk and his buddies were pretty funny, as was the antics of Kirk’s dysfunctional family. Although most of the scenes are quite crude, vulgar and sexual, the way the scrawny, nervous, and unconfident Kirk interacts with the beautiful and engaging Molly is very likable. They do a nice job of handling the ups and downs of forming an honest, meaningful relationship.
Overall, I would give this movie 6/10 stars. Check it out. Happy Viewing
