Here’s another blog from a Mississauga chiropractor…

On Saturday July 21, 2012, Maria and I took my parents and the boys to the Mississauga Rotary Ribfest at the new Celebration Square located at the Mississauga Civic Centre at 300   City Centre Drive, adjacent to the Square One Shopping Centre.

This event was packed with people.  We were literally shoulder-to-shoulder with people lining up for ribs and other snacks, as well as people getting from one vendor to the next.

The majority of our time was spent taking Mason and Tristan to the Ribfest Rides.  It was $30 for 20 tickets which the boys split, 10 tickets each.  The rides cost either 1, 2 or 3 tickets per person, so the boys got about 5 rides each.

Mason tried his first rollercoaster.  It was pretty low to the ground, but quite fast.  We weren’t sure whether he would be crying or laughing throughout the ride, but when we saw him a big smile shown on his face as he clung onto Tristan’s arm.

Mason next rode the Train Ride.  This was more suited for his age, but it moved pretty slow, so we were thinking that we should have started him off with the Train and then transitioned to the Rollercoaster, because he seemed pretty bored.

Tristan tried the Rock Climbing Wall.  He’s had experience climbing Rock Walls at the LIFETIME Gym, however, midway up the wall he just froze, and then made his way down.  He said he got scared.

The longest line up was for the Ferris Wheel.  Tristan really wanted to try it and I hadn’t been on one before, so we decided to line up.  It wasn’t that special.  We could see all the people at the Ribfest from up above, and the Square One parking lot.

At the actual Ribfest, we didn’t purchase any ribs.  Maria just got a few Tornado Potatoes for $4 each.  These are potatoes that are cut in a spiral formation and then fried on a skewer.  She was also going to try the Blooming Onions, but the long line up and $9 price changed her mind.

Overall, it was a fun time at the Mississauga Rotary Ribfest… Just another day in the Life of a Mississauga Chiropractor.
