Here’s another blog from a Mississauga Chiropractor…

Last Monday Mar 4th, 2013, one of my patients asked me if I ever tried Mickey’s Pizza: Feed your Dragon located on 1900 Lakeshore Road west in Clarkson, Mississauga.  When I told her that I had not, she started to rave about this Pizza Parlor.  She told me that Mickey’s Pizza is so popular and in high demand, that they often sell out and close early, so in order to guarantee that you get a pizza, you often have to call ahead of time and tell them when you want to pick it up.  There were even instances when she had to order the pizza on a Thursday if she wanted to pick it up on a Saturday.  Mickey’s Pizza specializes in their Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, and so my patient was telling me that this past Saturday, when she visited Mickey’s Pizza, there was a huge line-up that was wrapping outside the restaurant.  Apparently, the Friday before, Mickey’s Pizza was featured on television and now everyone was showing up the next day.  The restaurant even ran out of ingredients and had to close down until the following Tuesday.

Thus, this past Tuesday Mar 5th, 2013, Maria and I decided to try Mickey’s Pizza.  We went online and read a lot of positive reviews on Yelp.  There were even people who were travelling all the way from Brampton, North York and Scarborough to Clarkson in order to get a taste of Mickey’s Famous Killer King Dragon.  Maria called to order either the Large or Jumbo, but the lady on the other side of the phone, advised that we first try the Baby size because this size normally feeds 1-2 people.  We tried the Smokey Dragon Deep Dish (pepperoni, crumble bacon, strip bacon, smoked cheese and BBQ sauce) & the Mediterranean (sundried tomato, kalamata olives, red peppers and feta cheese).

Both pizzas were quite delicious, but I do understand now what my patient warned me about.  She said that Mickey`s Pizza was not the type of pizza that you could eat once a week.  She said that you need a couple of weeks to recover from the experience because the pizza was so rich.  The Pizza tasted great, but I was stuffed for the rest of the night.

More recently (two and three days later), I’ve tried the Baby Deep Dish Meat King (Pepperoni, Bacon Crumble, Sausage & Meatball) and the next day I tried a Large Deep Dish Cheesy Beast (Mozzarella, Extra Cheese Blend) with additional Pepperoni slices and bacon strips with BBQ sauce.  Both pizzas were extra delicious!

Overall, I would give Mickey`s Pizza 9.5/10 stars.  Give it a try, you’ll see a big blow-up dragon above the store, so you won’t miss it.  Just another day in the life of a Mississauga Chiropractor…
