Here’s another blog from a Mississauga Chiropractor…

On Saturday April 6th, 2013 we ate at Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse located at 6361 Fallsview   Blvd, Niagara Falls, ON at the Hilton Hotel and Suite.  This was a Brazilian buffet where we were given a two-sided disc to control the pace of our meal.  The green side of the disc signals the Gaucho chefs to bring out skewers of sizzling fire-roasted meats to carve at our table.  The red side of the disc indicates a resting or stopping point.  Turning the disc back to green will let the Gaucho chefs know to start offering the meats again.

Besides the meat, we were also given a choice of over 70 items from their gourmet buffet.  They had a vast assortment of salads, grilled vegetables and authentic Brazilian food.  They also had traditional Brazilian sides of potato, polenta, fried bananas and Brazilian cheese bread.  The Gacuho chefs that came to our table were also dressed in traditional Gaucho outfits:  loose fitting trousers that gather at the ankles called bombachas, belted with a tirador (sash), a woollen poncho which doubles as a saddle blanket, a pair of leather boots, a colourful scarf around their neck and a flat brimmed hat.

The fire roasted meats that were served at our tables included:  Beef Rib Eye (a tender cut that is packed with flavour), Beef Top Sirloin (two different cuts in one piece of meat), Beef Rump Steak (the most popular cut of prime beef seasoned with natural sea salt), Beef Bottom Sirloin (extremely tender with a unique flavourful taste), Garlic Beef Steak (juicy and tender cut of sirloin flavoured with garlic), Beef Short Rib (slow roasted to maintain richness and flavour), Parmesan Pork Loin (tender parmesan encrusted boneless pork loin), Lamb Leg (carved right off the bone, a very succulent cut rich in flavour), Bacon Wrapped Chicken (tender and flavourful chicken breast wrapped in bacon), Chicken Thigh (light and crispy chicken thighs cooked to perfection), Chicken Leg (plump, juicy and tender chicken legs), Salmon (light and flavourful, cooked to perfection), and Grilled Pineapple (sliced pineapple with a brown sugar glaze).

Prices were pretty high, Friday-Sunday is $45.95 per person, Monday-Thursday is a bit cheaper at $39.95.  Children under 12 are $19.95.  Mason who is 3 years old was free.  Thank goodness because he slept most of the time.  Overall, the experience was quite good.  I ambitiously tried each slice of meat that came to our table.  The different types of beef were quite tasty yet also very bloody.  The chicken and sausage was a bit dry.

I would give my experience at Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse 8/10.  This is definitely a restaurant to try.  Just another day in the life of a Mississauga Chiropractor…
