Just watched Love and Other Drugs (2010), starring Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain), Anne Hathaway (Love and Other Drugs) &, Judy Greer (13 Going on 30)

Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway) is an alluring free spirit who won’t let anyone – or anything – tie her down. But she meets her match in Jamie Randall (Jake Gyllenhaal), whose relentless and nearly infallible charm serve him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales. Maggie and Jamie’s evolving relationship takes them both by surprise, as they find themselves under the influence of the ultimate drug: love.

I really enjoyed this movie.  The stereotypical portrayal of the day in the life of a pharmaceutical rep was quite funny and accurate. They showed the workings of the big pharmaceutical companies and their attempts to influence the decision making of medical professional to use their product.  Anne Hathaway`s acting captures the devastating accuracy the emotions one goes through when confronting a degenerative illness at an early age. She also demonstrated how one might try to push others away in order to set them free before they become burdened by them.

Overall, I would give this movie 8/10 stars.  Check it out!  Happy Viewing
