Just watched Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012), starring Katy Perry (I Kissed a Girl)

This film tells the story of the trajectory of Katy Perry’s career as gospel singer Katheryn Hudson until the present day as pop singer and global superstar Katy Perry’s, bearing testimony from Katy about her childhood, talking about the Teenage Dream era. It also has scenes from backstage of her last world tour while trying to take time to resolve personal problems, including her divorce from English comedian Russell Brand. The interim scenes document her last world tour, the California Dreams Tour, and were recorded on November 23, 2011 at StaplesCenter, Los Angeles.

I enjoyed this documentary of Katy Perry’s.  It unveils that Katy’s off-stage and on-stage personality is actually one and the same.  The musical numbers were awesome, and it made me feel like I was at the actual concert with my kids.  We also see that Katy Perry’s didn’t just come out of know where.  She actually struggled in the music industry for a number of years before getting her big break.

I would give this documentary 8/10 stars.  Check it out!  Happy Viewing
