Here’s another Blog by a Mississauga Chiropractor….
Halloween, 2011 has come and gone. Unlike last year, the weather was perfect… No rain, no wind and most importantly no coldness. Last year as I walked from house-to-house watching Tristan sprint from porch-to-porch, I practically froze as the cold wind hit me. This year I was better prepared, donning my long-johns, thick sweater and woolly coat.
This year Tristan chose to be Dracula. Maria painted his face white with red streaks of blood dripping down the corners of his mouth. Mason was Buzz-Woody… It was a miss-match of Tristan’s old Woody the Cowboy & Buzz Lightyear costumes.
As we headed out the door, we coincidentally bumped into Tristan’s best budAdrian(dressed as the ‘Last Airbender’). So just like last year, the two boys spent Halloween racing from house-to-house collecting candy. On the way, they picked up another classmate Josh (dressed as ‘Darth Vader’). I joined the other parents Lisa (Adrian’s mom) & Tony (Josh’s dad), as we watched the boys and chatted about their teachers, the school system and the different houses that have gone up for sale. Occasionally, the kids would run back to us so they could lighten their trick-or-treat bags into the sacks we were carrying.
Mason lasted only about eight houses before he got tired. With this being his first time trick-or-treating, he was more fascinated by the scary Halloween decorations than getting the candy. Maria took him to the end of the block and then headed back to the house to give out candy.
Overall, Halloween was quite fun this year… And lots of chips & chocolate wasn`t a bad perk as well. Just another day in the life of a Mississauga Chiropractor
