Here’s another Blog by a Mississauga Chiropractor….

Saturday November 19th, 2011 was our monthly Dynamic Wellness 3K Prediction Run.  Each runner had to predict how fast they could finish the 3 km out & back course and the winner was not the fastest person to finish, but the person whose predicted time was closest to their actual finishing time.

Entry fee was $5 where the winner was to receive half the money collected, while the other half of the money was going to be donated to the Arthritis Society.

20 runners started out at 10:30amin the beautiful yet windy fall weather.  The winner was Nordic walker Sara Bannerman-Maxwell with a time difference of 7 seconds.  Sara generously donated her winnings to the Arthritis Society.

Kailin Lawrence from Credit Valley Hospital Cancer Centre, came in 2nd place with at time difference of 21 seconds, while Kory Frostad from CardioCore Fitness was 3rd with a time difference of 29 seconds.

Sara Bannerman-Maxwell from the Nordixx Pole Walking spoke to the competitors during the post event festivities.  She talked about the great health benefits that Nordic Pole Walking can offer and even had some participants try out the poles.   Refreshments were served after the event and complimentary 10 minute massages by RMT – Leslie LaRue were also offered for the runners.   There will not be a Prediction Run for the month of December, however the next run is scheduled forSaturday January 21, 2012.
