Here’s another blog by a Mississauga Chiropactor…

Yesterday my family and I were at Baton Rouge, 2460 Winston Churchill, Oakville celebrating a baptism with a bunch of our friends.  It was my first time eating at this restaurant, Maria my wife had been here once before.  After the baptism I was pretty hungry, so I was happy to see platters of chips with spinach dip set out at each table.  We all gladly helped ourselves as the waitress took our orders.

I tried the Baton Burger (I like rating burgers… so far my favourite is Jack Astors), Maria had the Chicken Parmesan Pasta dish, Tristan (my 6 year old) wanted to be like dad so he ordered the Jr. Burger and Mason (my 2 year old) ordered Chicken Nuggets and Fries.  Maria’s and my order both came with Caesar Salad, so we ate that first as Mason was busy on the iPad and Tristan was checking out Netflix on my iPhone.  The salad was alright, a little oily but Mason helped me with my croutons.  Finally our meals came… Tristan was getting pretty grumpy waiting for his burger.

Overall, my Baton Burger was pretty dry.  I added some of Mason`s BBQ sauce from his fries to add a bit of flavour to my meal (3/10)…  My fries were good though.  Maria wasn’t quite pleased with her Pasta either.  She said it was very greasy and bland.  Tristan liked his Jr. Burger.  He ate half of it before he said he was full.  However, near the end of our meal Tristan told me that he wasn’t feeling too well.  I hurried him to the bathroom, where he promptly vomited into the toilet bowl.  Mason enjoyed his fries, however he mostly liked the BBQ sauce that he was dipping his fries into.  His french fry ended up being a spoon where he would suck the BBQ sauce from.

When we got home, both Maria and I had the worst stomach ache.  I guess I shouldn`t have tried to finish her left over pasta that she brought home.  All night my stomached ached however it is starting to feel a little better this morning.  Maybe next time we visit Baton Rouge, I might try the ribs which most people at the baptism were eating.  I didn`t ask them how it was, but most of their plates were empty by the time we left.  I think we were one of the few with take-out.

Just another day in the life of a chiropractor….
