Here’s another Blog by a Mississauga Chiropractor….

Just watched Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011) starring, Justin Long (Accepted),  Jason Lee (My Name is Earl) & Christina Applegate (Married with Children).

Playing around while aboard a cruise ship, the Chipmunks: Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler) & Theodore (Jesse McCartney) and Chipettes: Brittany (Christina Applegate), Jeanette (Anna Faris) & Eleanor (Amy Poehler) accidentally go overboard and end up marooned in a tropical island.  They discover their new turf is full of unexpected adventures from Zoe (Jenny State), the Tom Hanks wannabe Castaway looking for buried treasure, to Dave (Jason Lee) & Ian (David Cross) looking for their lost Chipmunk & Chipette family.

I took my two boys (7 & 2) to the local Famous Players-Silver City to watch this movie.  I was surprised how packed the theatre was, especially since this movie had been out for a couple months already.  The theatre was packed with kids, who ended up laughing up a storm when all the slapstick comedy hit.  There were also many musical numbers in this film, complete with full dance numbers.  I found myself humming along to all the Chipmunk & Chipette tunes.  At the end of the movie, most of the kids gathered at the front of the theatre and started dancing to the LMFAO song which played during the closing credits.  My boys joined in as well.

As an adult, I would give this movie a 4/10 stars… as a kid, maybe more of an 8/10.  Happy Viewing!
